Love has always been at the top of my hierarchy of values.
That is probably why it is also the most often used word in my blog
entries...
Love, like everything, exists at different levels: at the base,
there is physical love or the physical attraction between people. At
the next stage, encompassing the physical love, is the emotional
love that is most often associated with the word. Mental love is yet
another layer around it that makes love more abstract - it's the
love expressed in poetry and other art forms. Including all these is
spiritual love, which is love at a trans-personal level. Where the
previous forms of love still are primarily aimed at the satisfaction
of personal needs, spiritual love is that love that transcends all
and everything. In fact, I believe that Love is the expression of
Essence, which is the core of any being. The interaction between my
consciousness and your consciousness (which can better be expressed
as our consciousness) is Love. Without Love, there is no "we", there
is only "me" and "you". In order to get to a world where differences
cease to lead to conflicts, Love needs to be realised at this
spiritual level.
